But when you do, it's critical to make sure the infrastructure is properly designed, bid and installed to avoid a myriad of problems going forward.
We are well suited to provide these services on a contract or job specific basis so you only pay for what you need when you need it which saves cost.
Over the years we have designed Passive Optical Networks (GPON) for hotels and high rise residential facilities. Traditional networks for schools, office buildings, data centers and custom homes. In concert with the Owner and their IT team, we develop detailed contract documents, specifications and bid documents to help provide a smooth construction process. Thus ensuring that you get the best value for your infrastructure budget.
As an independent resource we can recommend many different manufacturers and products to fit your needs and budget. Since we are independent of the subcontractor and manufacturers we can also provide a fair and equitable review of subcontractor bids to assure they are meeting the requirements of the project documents and the Owners design.

Project Management
When you have the need to expand your facilities network infrastructure are you confident that you are getting the best return on your investment? Do you have the expertise on staff to develop a proper RFP? Are you asking the right questions of your subcontractors? How do you compare the responses from each subcontractor to be sure they are all bidding on the same scope of work? Do their prices include everything you asked for in the RFP?
We can assist with bidding and project management to confirm that RFPs are complete and bids are properly descoped. This helps to establish that each subcontractor throughly understands the scope of the project and has included everything needed in their bid.
Once construction starts we make regular visits to the jobsite to work with the Owner and the subcontractor to provide guidance to confirm the project remains on schedule and on budget. We also help coordinate answers to questions that arise during construction to keep the process moving. Weekly progress reports help you, the Owner, follow the progress of the project and understand any issues that may arise in time to resolve them before they cause a delay.
For example, we were engaged to manage a large, multi million dollar, data center renovation. There were over 175 server cabinets and associated power and data cabling that needed to be replaced. This was an active datacenter which could not lose any connectivity during the renovation. We brought the project in on schedule, with no downtime and saved several million dollars in construction costs.

Custom Home Automation
Over the years the Home Automation market has changed dramatically. We have installed many Leviton (formally HAI) and ELK home automation systems and continue to support and install these where they make sense. Now more and more control systems are WiFi based or Alexa enabled. We have continued to stay abreast of the latest technolgies and have successfully integrated the more traditional systems like Leviton and ELK into the modern age so they can interface with Alexa or Google Home for example.
We have designed, installed and programmed many Audio Visual systems over the years from simple flat panels on the wall with a universal remote to luxury home theaters with powered seating, projector and screen. Unique multi source A/V distribution systems with multiple sources and multiple displays throughout the house have been designed and installed. Each home theater and multi source distribution system was designed to be controlled with a single wireless control or from a tablet or cell phone app, each one customized to the Owners likes and preferences.
